FPV Camera for DJI App Reviews

This app is doing a great job in standard mode as well as "in-app" additionally purchased modules FPV goggles and journey planner. A whole new way to fly with my Phantom 3, with extended features and additional comfort, with unchanged security. Now the amazing even is, I twice got support replies in less than 2 hours..... I can only strongly recommend!

Famous App with great performance (mission planer) It would be nice, if focus feature comes in the future. limitation of target to -200m gives less accuracy to the center of videos in the mountains with valley-targets

Please read the in App purchases, the description leads you to believe that the $11.99 includes all described. This is not the case. You get the camera portion of the app, the rest you must purchase in the app! Nicely done, if you want to scam us. I would have no problem paying $50-100 for this type of app, however the way this is advertised makes me lose respect for the developer.

I must say this is a fantastic app that I use in my professional uav business for creating dynamic and professional shots. They have done a excellent job of making the application easy to use and also very functional. The action at each way point , the orbit feature that allows you to face both out and in. Even the beta was flawless. If they can make a object follow mode and fly too option like the new p4 then they will continue to be the best at what they do.

From day one the app developers listened to the customer and have come up with an excellent product. Ive been using this app interchangeably with a similar app. They are both dependable and top drawer applications. I believe FPV Camera will get even better as time goes on. I must not forget to mention how helpful the staff are in particular Tony Yu. He does a super job at public relations and tries to answer all queries. I know he forwards suggestions to the development team as a couple of my suggestions have been implemented. Great work guys on a great product.

This is a great app. Id love to see multiple waypoint edits at the same time. My only complaint is a goofy in-app payment scheme.

This might be a great flight planner but Ill never know ... Purchasing the App for $11.99 (in Canada) only gives you the ability to subscribe or purchase the actually useful modules of the software. And even the 7-day "trial" requires you to pay $3.99 (again, in Canada) for the "privilege". Until the pricing policies are revised Id recommend staying far away.

Its a great app but now pixel burn has been confirmed by another iphone owner that you risk burning pixels on your display. I have two permanent yellow dots on my screen now which is a real drag for resale purposes. Check out dji forum how to use virtual reality goggles with your dji drone. I dont believe this is an app problem but more of an iphone issue. Burnt pixels aside - its great and feature rich software.

Exellent soft ! You need to add support OpenStreetMap and Bing maps. Because there are many places in which the detail of Google maps is VERY low.

After you bought this app, they’ll ask you pay extra money for one month subscription or for whole functional MISSION PLANNER, also they’ll offer you 7 days trial, but you can’t activate this option. So, if you don’t ready to pay extra^ you’ll just get nice scrolling wallpapers at your screen without any services.

I purchased the app plus mission and flight log in-app purchases for my iPad mini4. I downloaded the app from iTunes also to my iPad Air2. When I opened the app on my Air 2 and opened the mission and log menus it asked me if I wanted to purchase those AGAIN. I didnt. Ive already spent $31 for the iPad mini and now it wants me to purchase those modules again!! Thats UNSAT. What am I missing here?

AVOID by all means. They show you a nice VR screen picture in their app info but this does not come with the app you purchase. Basically what you get for the price of this app is a watered down version of the free DJI app. If you want the VR capability they will ask you for $7.99 more, so a total of $8.99+$7.99. I will ask for a refund from Apple and report to them this misleading selling app. Dont get into their trap like I did.

I love this app. I especially love the fact that i can set up missions on my phone/tablet from the comfort of inside my home then go to the site to run them without having to struggle through the glare of the sun on my screen while setting them up. I also appreciate the FPV facebook group which allows you to communicate directly with the programmer and get fat responses to questions and suggestions. This app is worth buying!. To be clear, I am just a user of the app and have no other connection to it

Update: After using this App for three months now for a work project and private it has become the way I fly my P4 and do my video and photo shoots. The excellent Flight Log gives plenty of useful information and the complexities I can add to my missions are endless and challenging at times. Also added some Goggles using my Iphone giving a new flying experience with the phenomenal features incorporated in the App. The FPV Camera is by far the best upgrade I added so far to any of my drones. After sorrow research I got the FPV Camera App Beta version for a project at work a couple of weeks ago. After over 20 test waypoint missions to become familiarized with the App and making sure flight safety and reliability was not an issue as the camera finally used is very costly I did the first Mission over an industrial installation this week and it was a full success. The learning curve with this App is very fast and possibilities cover a wide range once the functions are well understood. Support from the creators is impressive as it seams they are available 24/7 with almost immediate repplies to any inquiries or doubts. It is definitely an App with lots of potential covering a wide range uf uses.

The number one complaint seen in reviews of other apps is the lack of application stability. This app will not crash after 2 minutes. Additionally other apps Ive reviewed lack features and are not very customizable. I bought this app for FPV. I love that this app displays all the telemetry that you see on the DJI GO camera view, which even the DJI HDMI module itself lacks. Why spend 10x the cost of this app and only to get less. The FPV feature supports the ability to switch between your iPhone camera and Drone camera this is very handy as it allows you to avoid having to fumble with removing your goggles. The integration of the onscreen menu with your C2 button and right wheel means you dont have to use those goofy Bluetooth remotes or worse, pull your phone out and touch the screen. The mission planning feature is yet another aspect of this app that is hands down better than much more expensive solution. The in-app purchase structure I think is well packaged. I only pay for features I need. Its not cheap but it takes time and effort to create this level of detail. Its still cheaper than other apps. Love this app...

I have tried several of the other apps out there and FPV Camera has them all beat. It is the most user friendly app for flying Ive ever used. Tony and FPV are on top of their game, for sure.
